Scope, cadence, and what each one does not cover — written out before you have to ask for it on a call.
What an engagement asks of you, set against what runs on my side of the line — in the order it happens.
Forty-five minutes. Target pages, the anchors you already rank for, and a no-go list — competitors, ex-clients, anywhere you would rather not appear.
Your existing profile, the three competitors actually beating you, and what is already ranking. Half the time the first week's finding is something to undo, not something to buy.
One sheet, one pass. Sites, anchors, and the page each link points at. You tick or strike — anything struck is never pitched, and nothing goes out before this comes back.
Six checks per site before it earns a pitch, and traffic is the one that disqualifies most of them. Every email is written for the editor reading it.
Brief, draft, editor revisions, publication. The first links typically go live in week six — earlier is usually a sign the site was not worth having.
Thirty minutes if you want it, a document if you do not. Some clients take the call every month; most stop after the third.
Every placement recorded against the plan it came from: live URL, anchor, target page, date. Yours to keep — the sheet outlives the engagement.
Nothing here is billed by the hour — you are buying placements, not my calendar.

You know
The target pages, roughly what you are working with, and when you want the first links live. I will tell you on the reply whether it is a fit — including if it is not.
You do not
No brief, no call booked, nothing to fill in. I will look at the profile and come back with what I would actually do first — which is sometimes none of the above.
Either way you get a written answer, not a calendar link. No charge for the first look, and no follow-up sequence if you go quiet.
